A low initial investment does not necessarily mean the most economical system over its service life. Frequent media replacements, expensive logistics or omitted analytical costs can significantly change the result.
CAPEX: what we buy and install
This generally includes equipment, housings, initial media charge, installation and commissioning. Pretreatment, civil works, automation and standby capacity are included where needed. The initial media charge must not also be counted as a routine replacement.
OPEX: what we pay during operation
Operating costs include consumable media, energy, labour, servicing and analysis. For PFAS, transport and appropriate handling of spent media or concentrate must be explicitly costed.
A consistent basis for all technologies
We compare the same flow rate, water composition, outlet water quality target, operating hours and period. We also check taxes, inflation and discounting. Indicative figures support discussion; the final assessment uses verified cost breakdowns and quotations.
